Blog Post One!

Technology has been a very prominent resource in my life. I feel like I definitely grew up in the age where technology was just being introduced but it was also rapidly growing. I have used technology in every aspect of school. In middle school we had smart boards and netbooks and then in high school we used I-pads instead of tangible textbooks. Now in college I use a laptop and can even take classes online! Not only do I use technology for school but I use in in my everyday life too. Having an Iphone that can almost do anything for you right when you pick it up definitely has pros and cons. Although I used to be very against the argument to make environments more tech-savvy (like turning schools into institutions without textbooks) I think that technology is also extremely helpful and is able to provide a lot of feedback and help. 

In this class I hope to learn about how to be more aware of the type of technology that we have available to us. I also want to learn how to use technology for the best way in the classroom, I want to be able to use the technology to its fullest and possibly how technology can help students learn better or provide them with better resources. I am also looking forward to seeing if this class will give any insight about what certain programs teachers use and how they use them. 

The questionnaire was really interesting to take and definitely made me think about myself and the way that I work. I think it was cool to look at my results and I am excited to compare them with my classmates to see how similar / different we all may be. I was not really surprised at any of my results for I feel like they represented me pretty accurately and fit what type of learner I am.
